Camporee – Welcome to the Wild West

We’re just a few days away from heading out to the Wild West… well, Western Carthage at Camp Durant!! Camporee will be full with 930 participants and camp staff, and there should be a lot of activities for everyone to do.

In keeping with the theme, please consider wearing scout-appropriate Western attire during the activities Saturday (no toy guns!!!) Camporee staff has been deputized and will be arresting leaders throughout the weekend. To spring them from jail, you should bring non-perishable foods to support our food drive.

Scoutbook and At-Home Advancement

Did you know that scouts can work on advancements at home? In fact, all of our adventures have requirements that state, “With your family or den,” which means that everyone can participate at home in their adventures.

This is always a fun way to keep kids busy during track-outs, spring break, or even if they get “bored” with nothing to do.

We track advancements in a system called Scoutbook. If you’re interested in access to Scoutbook, let us know so we can get you access to your scout account.

#AdventureOn at Cub Scout Summer Camp

Grab your sunglasses and swimsuit, we’re having a BEACH PARTY! Join us at Camp Durant for three action-packed days of fun-themed activities. From Swimming, STEM, Outdoor skills, handicrafts, shooting sports, ecology, and even Bouldering/Climbing towers! Camping will include two-person tents on pallets, and each campsite has its own bathhouse.

Scouts from the same Packs/Dens will be placed together and program activities will be scheduled for all levels. All meals will be provided in the Grand Lodge. Register today!

Popcorn Show & Sells

Shifts are set up and open for signup directly in the Trails-End Mobile App and Website. There are a couple of shifts this afternoon and tomorrow morning for BassPro Shop in Cary (and multiple shifts to choose from over the next 6 weeks.

This is a great way to earn points towards the Amazon Gift Card Rewards. We can have 2 Scouts per 1-hour shift, and the points are split between the 2 scouts for each shift.
